FORT BEND COUNTY, TX (Covering Katy News) – Fort Bend County Judge KP George is launching The Queer Alliance Committee, a new initiative he says is "aimed at promoting inclusivity, providing resources, dispelling myths, and showcasing the economic contributions of the Queer community in Fort Bend County."
At a recent ceremony held at the Historic Fort Bend County Courthouse in Richmond, committee members were introduced and presented an overview of the LGBTQIA+ mission.
"This multifaceted mission encompasses the provision of essential resources, educational initiatives, and active promotion of LGBTQIA + businesses," Judge George's Office said.

"As I have said many times, I believe in human dignity and respect regardless of anyone's origin, race, ethnicity, religion, or orientation," stated Judge George. "One of the primary goals of this committee is to advocate for equal opportunities for all Fort Bend residents, irrespective of their orientation or gender identity."
