BROOKSHIRE, Texas (Covering Katy News) — Brookshire residents joined Americans across the country Saturday in celebrating Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of America's Declaration of Independence from Great Britain.
A marker commemorating America's 250th birthday was unveiled at Hoyas Park. Festivities included games, refreshments and a performance by the Earl Sanders Jr. Band.
