KATY, TX (Covering Katy News) – A woman sitting on the edge of the SH 99/FM 1093 ramp gave first responders a scare Tuesday morning, but quick action from a Fort Bend County Precinct 1 deputy brought her safely back.
The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 18, 2025. Deputy Terrance Greene was the first to arrive and calmly pulled the woman away from the ledge. He stayed with her until the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Intervention Team arrived.
“True heroism isn’t loud. It’s the calm voice, the steady hand, and the compassion that pulls someone back from the edge,” Constable Chad Norvell said. “We’re proud of Greene’s actions.”
