NORTHWEST HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – Known formally as the Feast of the Epiphany, Día de los Reyes commemorates the visit of the three kings or the Magi to Baby Jesus, thereby representing Christ’s physical revelation to the gentiles. It was celebrated Sunday at Traders Village 7979 N Eldridge Parkway.
“The celebration is particularly important in Latin America and in some cases takes on greater importance than Christmas,” said a statement from Traders Village.
They celebrated ”Rosca de Reyes” with a cup of hot chocolate at the free event. They also gave away sides of king’s cake and toys for the children.
