HOUSTON (Covering Katy News) – Employees of the Four Points by Sheraton were shocked when two men walked in, broke open an ATM, and took off with the cash. It happened at about 4 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the Four Points location at the corner of the Katy Freeway and Beltway 8 on the eastbound side.

“Two males wearing masks came in, pried open the ATM, took the cash box and fled in a blue pick-up truck,” said Houston Police Department spokesman Lt. Larry Crawson.

There were no injuries.

The men seemed unconcerned that the hotel had security cameras that may aid police in catching them.

“We’re checking the surveillance video to see if it gives us any more information.  Once we do that we’ll see if we can locate the suspects,” Lt. Crawson said.

The Four Points Hotel by Sheraton is located at 10655 Katy Freeway.  There is another hotel by the same name along the Katy Freeway in Katy, but that location was not part of this crime.

Anyone with information that could help investigators should call HPD.
