CITY OF KATY (Covering Katy News) – A major methamphetamine bust was made on Monday near the Katy Mills Mall.
The bust happened in the parking lot of a restaurant on Bell Patna Drive, the same road where the City of Katy is building its second fire station.
The men who were busted had nearly 60 pounds of the drug in their possession according to the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office. Juan Carlos Martinez, 49, and Pedro Martinez, 45, were arrested.

Investigators with Precinct 5 Constable Ted Heap’s office and the Katy Police Department, working together on a multi-agency task force made the bust without incident.
The street value of the drug is estimated to be about $135,000.
The suspects each face federal charges of delivery of a controlled substance.
