KATY (Covering Katy News) – Forty people framed an entire home in 4 hours on Saturday at Katy’s Current Christian Church on Westheimer Parkway.

The home is being built for a Hurricane Harvey victim through a partnership with CrossRoads Missions and Habitat for Humanity.

CorssRoads Missions is an organization for churches and individuals seeking missionary opportunities in places that they may otherwise have difficulty serving.

Habitat for Humanity partners with people in communities all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home.

Those who receive a home from Habitat take part in the building process.

Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.

Through their 2020 Strategic Plan, Habitat for Humanity will serve more people than ever before through decent and affordable housing.
