STAFFORD – (Covering Katy News) – Giuseppe Briguglio, 19, of 1111 Falcon Park Drive in Katy has reportedly been arrested in Connecticut and charged with murder and bond has been set at $1 million.
Giuseppe and his 17-year-old “female companion” Jessica Lynn Musante were taken into custody, without incident, late Thursday in Ansonia, Connecticut which is about 12 miles northwest of New Haven.
Both teens were fugitives, wanted in connection with the New Year’s Day murder of James Outlaw, II of Stafford.
Musante was listed as a missing person prior to the murder. Even though she is a juvenile her name and image had been circulated by the Stafford Police as suspects in Outlaw’s murder.
Shortly before 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2018 officers with the Stafford Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at the Estates at Fountain Lake apartment complex at 10498 Fountain Lake Drive. When officers arrived they found the victim dead in a breezeway of the complex.
Police have not yet said what the connection is between Outlaw and the two teens.
Briguglio was immediately charged with being a fugitive from justice and held on $250,000 bond. He’s expected to be charged with murder when he arrives back in Fort Bend County. Briguglio was scheduled to be arraigned today, Friday Jan. 12, in Connecticut.
Musante is from Connecticut. She was taken to juvenile detention to be held for extradition to Texas according to published reports.
The Ansonia, CT Police Department Detective Bureau, the Shelton, CT Police Department Detective Bureau, the Texas Rangers and the Stafford, TX, Police Department all took part in tracking down the suspect. The Ansonia, Shelton, and Derby Police Departments executed the arrests.
