Katy ISD Teams Up with Crime Stoppers to Prepare Students for Prom

KATY (Covering Katy News) – It’s prom season and one of the most anticipated school events of the year for high school students. Katy Independent School District along with Houston Crime Stoppers wants to ensure every student has a memorable and safe night. Both entities have come together to provide safety tips that will make this night of glitz and glam a safe one.

“It’s important that parent-teen conversations take place not just for special events,” said Katy ISD Chief of Police Robert Jinks.   “Every parent wants the same thing for their children – for them to make smart choices.  We hope parents will join in on the discussions of this event to make prom an unforgettable night for everyone.”

What: Join Katy ISD and Houston Crime Stoppers for a panel discussion about prom trends, underage drinking, laws, online safety and tips for students and parents.
