‘Major Cocaine Supplier’ Charged in Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says it’s arrested a major cocaine dealer. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force with the assistance of U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency High-Intensity Drug Task Force and HCSO District One patrol units arrested Sheretta Shaunta Washington, 39, of Spring.

The bust happened Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, but the Sheriff’s Office is only making the bust public now.

A search warrant was obtained for Washington’s residence in the lower FM 1960 area.

“Inside the home, investigators found 33 grams of crack cocaine, 7 grams of marijuana, 5 grams of oxycodone, and 2 digital scales,” said a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.

“Investigators also recovered a ballistic vest, 650 live ammunition rounds, 2 rifle magazines and 4 handgun magazines,” the statement said.

Washington, who is characterized as “a major cocaine supplier in the Cypress Station/Ella area,” was charged with possession with intent to deliver, manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a weapon.

Washington is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
