Fort Bend ISD Student faces weapons charges

Sugar Land (Covering Fort Bend News) – A Dulles Middle School student has been arrested after school administrators received information that the student was in possession of two weapons on campus Nov. 1.

Administrators immediately called the Fort Bend ISD Police Department and with their assistance made contact with the student. The student was taken without incident to the office and a search was conducted.

The search revealed a pistol and a BB gun in the student’s backpack. The student was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center.

“We are not aware of any threat made toward to other students or our campus, but I urge you to continue speaking to your student about the importance of reporting anything or anyone that makes them feel threatened or uncomfortable in any way,” said Principal Dee Knox in an email to parents. “In our current climate, we are always on alert and will take immediate action to pursue every report that we receive. We are thankful and appreciative of the individuals who came forward today to make us aware so that appropriate actions could be taken.
