HOUSTON, TX (Covering Katy News) – Tuesday, November 6, 2018, is Election Day. Voting locations will be open from 7 a.m to 7 p.m. in Harris, Fort Bend, and Waller counties.
“There are four important steps voters should take before heading to the polls,” said Harris County Clerk Stan Stanart, the chief election officer of the County.
Stanart recommends that voters spend time looking themselves up prior to voting. They should find their polling location. Review their ballot, and make sure they have one of the many acceptable forms of photo identification.
“Please study your personal ballot,” urged Stanart. Voters may bring their marked up specimen ballot into the voting booth to expedite the voting process and they are strongly encouraged to review their selections before pressing the “cast ballot” button if they are using an e-Slate voting machine.

“Be sure you see the waving American Flag before exiting your voting booth,” Stanart said. “If you have a question while voting, notify the election official in charge at the poll.”
