“Katy Resurrection Run” to Benefit the Eagle Initiative

KATY (Covering Katy) – Katy Christian Magazine and Faith West Eagle Initiative have collaborated to hold the first Katy Resurrection Run, which will benefit the Eagle Initiative. The Eagle Initiative is Faith West’s outreach initiative that provides Faith West camp and school scholarships. The initiative partners with numerous community organizations to benefit Caring 4 Katy, Good Shepherd, Sunshine Kids, CPS and Sunshine Thru the Rain.

On Friday, April 14, the Katy Resurrection Run will begin with a 5k run at 9 a.m., then a 1k family run/walk will begin at 10 a.m. Both runs will take place at Faith West Academy, 2225 Porter Road, and will include a kids zone, live music and food.

Sponsors include B&B Butchers & Restaurant, Fort Bend Christian Magazine and Katy Christian Magazine, Faith West Academy, AW Adwebvertising, The Katy News, Covering Katy, Matt Schomburg’s State Farm Insurance, State Rep. John Zerwas, ER Katy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, The Church at Cane Island, and Belhaven University.

Registration is $35 for adults and $25 for children under the age of 12, military personnel with military identification and first responders. The first 1,000 to register will receive a gift bag valued at $75. To register, or for more information, visit www.resurrectionrunkaty.com.
