KATY, TX (Covering Katy News) – As summer temps warm up, Typhoon Texas will cool down for Christmas in July, a week-long celebration July 23 – 27 when the west Houston waterpark is transformed into a holiday setting complete with snow at the wave pool, holiday characters, amazing holiday scenes, Christmas music, holiday-themed foods, a visit from Santa and more.
After taking photos with holiday characters at the North Pole main entrance, guests will enjoy holiday-themed activities throughout the park.
At the Chris Kringle stage next to Tidal Wave Bay, families can join in the fun of a daily summertime snowfall with dancing and Christmas music. Nearby at the Lazy T River, guests will enjoy colorful, expertly decorated holiday scenes as they wind through the park.
Christmas in July at Typhoon Texas also will feature family games, a Very Merry Christmas dance party, Santa’s elves, crafts and a special area to pen early letters to Santa.
As for food and beverage offerings, the waterpark’s holiday-themed fare will include Christmas nachos, Christmas funnel cakes, iced hot chocolate, Caramel apples and more.
The week-long celebration at Typhoon Texas culminates “Christmas Day,” July 25, with a summertime visit from Santa, an island Christmas Party with snow and live holiday music at Tidal Wave Bay, character photos, and Christmas music.
