WEST HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – Bombshells Restaurant & Bar plans to open near Katy in the coming weeks. The seventh Houston area Bombshell’s location will be at 20516 Katy Freeway eastbound, just east of Highway 6. Company managers expect a June 2019 opening.
Bombshells Katy will feature about 8,200 square feet inside; about 2,400 square feet outside on the patio; more than 100 1080p hi-def TVs; multiple USB charging stations; fast and free Wi-Fi; seating in excess of 400, and abundant parking.
“We want Bombshells to be the ultimate experience for social dining, sports viewing, music, fun, food, and drink in Katy for all ages,” said David Simmons, Director of Restaurant Operations.
The military-themed Bombshells is billed as a next-generation sports bar designed to appeal to a wide multi-generational, multi-cultural audience, from millennials to baby boomers. Locations are built to resemble aircraft hangars from the outside. On the inside, they are filled with military memorabilia, including aircraft wings over the bar.

The concept was originated by Travis Reese, EVP of parent RCI Hospitality Holdings, Inc. of Houston. His grandfather was a World War II pilot who flew more than 100 missions during the Berlin Airlift. A pilot himself, Travis envisioned a fun place that brought together respect for military and veterans past and present. The Bombshells Girls waitresses bring to life timeless World War II era pin-up girls from calendars, posters, and paintings on military aircraft.
