KATY/HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – An automatic teller machine thief with an ATM master key struck a Katy area bank early Monday morning.

At 1:30 a.m. Harris County Deputies responded to the Bank of America on Fry road near the Katy Freeway. Deputies blocked the suspect’s vehicle from leaving the ATM lane but he took off on foot and has not been found.

Detectives were left with several important pieces of evidence including the suspect’s cell phone which was left behind in his car. They also believe the car that was used is not stolen and belongs to the suspect.

According to a Harris County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant, the suspect has gotten away with several ATM robberies in recent days.
