KATY (Covering Katy News) – Ever wondered what life was like in Texas during the late 1800’s? At the upcoming 33rd Annual Katy Folk Life Festival, visitors will get a chance to experience pioneer life by seeing how they dressed, how they survived, the types of foods they prepared and even where their children went to school.
Other activities include blacksmith demonstrations, hand quilting, woodworking and roping skills presentations.
There will be lots of booths there too. The Sons of the Republic of Texas tell us they will have a booth selling Texas Navy framed prints as a fundraiser. They will also have numerous kids games centered around Texas history.
Admission is only $1.
