KATY (Covering Katy News) – Five Katy Independent School District campuses are among 31 elite Texas schools who were named “2018 Schools Transforming Learning” by the Principal’s Institute (PI).

The rigorous selection process takes several months but ultimately the schools selected have demonstrated an innovative learning environment for their students and have promoted challenge thinking for their staff members.  This year the following Katy ISD campuses received this renowned award:

Paetow High School

Morton Ranch Junior High
Stockdick Junior High
Bethke Elementary
Randolph Elementary

“It’s very rewarding to see our Katy ISD staff and campuses highlighted for the tremendous amount of work they perform in creating unparalleled learning opportunities for our students,” said Superintendent Lance Hindt.

The Principals Institute (PI) consists of a year-long professional development series that works with principals to understand why the transformation of public education is necessary. As part of its project known as N2 Learning, this series also helps principals develop the necessary skills required to build and sustain transformation.
