KATY (Covering Katy News) – It was originally the University of Houston Cinco Ranch campus. Following the Harvey floods, the one building campus became a temporary home for Creech Elementary School and the school district later purchased the property on South Mason Road. Now the facility will soon have a new purpose and a new name.
The facility will house the district’s early childhood testing, work-based learning program, speech therapy testing, vision impaired and braille staff, occupational and physical therapy, and other special education-related services.
The Katy ISD Naming Advisory Committee will recommend a name for the facility to the Board of Trustees at the Work Study meeting on November 5, 2018.
Community members wishing to provide public comment on the recommended name are invited to a public forum on Wednesday, November 7 from 6-7 p.m. in the board room at the Education Support Complex located at 6301 S. Stadium Lane.
