KATY (Covering Katy News) – It’s been well publicized that the Katy area now has a larger population than Pittsburgh and plans are in the works to make sure the region can continue to educate the workforce of the future to ensure the region’s economic vitality for years to come.
With population growth has come economic growth in terms of major corporations locating in Katy and the surrounding area. Those businesses depend on local colleges to provide training that will be needed in the future.
The Houston Community College System is formulating a 10-year strategic plan and is looking for the public’s input. HCC has more than 20 campuses across the Houston area including one in Katy.
“How will HCC embrace our city’s future,” is the question that is being asked.
