KATY (Covering Katy News) – Harris County Sheriff’s detectives have received little if any usable information from a woman who was shot on South Mason Road. It happened on Tuesday afternoon. Deputy Thomas Gilliland confirmed that she was shot in the arm. She tells deputies she did not see the shooter.
“It’s a rather strange thing,” Gilliland told Covering Katy News.
The victim said she was turning into the car wash near Cimarron Parkway when she was hit by a bullet.

“She was transported in good condition,” Gilliland said.
In an interview with KPRC, carwash employee Abraham Diaz-Torres said: “We just heard a pop.”
He said she parked at the car wash and was bleeding.
“It’s scary. Everybody here is afraid. We never think that would happen here in Katy,” he told Channel 2 News.
Investigators are looking for leads. No one is in custody. Gilliland says detectives are reviewing surveillance video from businesses along South Mason Road.
It’s not yet clear where the shot came from but it struck the lower portion of the driver’s side door window before hitting the driver.
