West Harris County Homicide Suspect Identified

Matthew Schnaare – HCSO

WEST HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – Homicide investigators have identified a male suspect who is wanted in connection with a homicide that happened on Friday, May 25, 2019, at about 5:45 p.m. along FM 529 a short distance west of Highway 6.  See the map below.

“Matthew Schnaare,19, was seen fleeing the 16600 block of Highway F.M. 529 in a blue colored hatchback style sedan Friday, May 24, 2019, at around 5:45 p.m.,” said a

Investigators say that Schnaare entered a four-door sedan, where a 20-year-old male was sitting in the driver side seat. Some kind of altercation occurred and Schnaare shot the male and fled.

The male was pronounced deceased by EMS personnel.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Schnaare is urged to call the HCSO Homicide unit at 713-274-9100.
