KATY/WEST HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office wants your help finding the man they believe shot a 7 year old boy in the Katy area on Saturday. Investigators are releasing the suspect’s photo. When captured he will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators say that 19-year-old Omarion Philip Bailey, shot into a vehicle that was driven by an 18-year-old male along with his 6 and 7-year-old brothers.
On Saturday, December 8, 2018, at around 2 p.m., Bailey was driving a late model Dodge Stratos, when he saw the complainants Cadillac Escalade at the corner of Fort Stanton and Grey Hawk in far west Harris County.
Bailey shot at the vehicle while it was stopped at the intersection. The 7-year-old was hit by gunfire in the upper back.

The child was driven to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, and later transported by life-flight to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston’s Medical Center. He is currently in good condition and is expected to make a full recovery. The other child and male were not hit by gunfire.
Bailey is 5’7 and weighs 170 Lbs. He has black hair and brown colored eyes. Anyone with information is urged to call the HCSO Violent Crimes unit at 713-274-9100.
