KATY (Covering Katy News) – Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigators are releasing photos of an older model Ford Explorer that’s believed to be involved in the shooting of a 39-year-old woman Tuesday afternoon on South Mason Road.
On July 10, 2018, deputies were dispatched to an in-progress call at 910 S. Mason Rd. A female said she was shot in her arm while driving. Witnesses, employees, and customers at the Simoniz car wash said they heard a single gunshot and observed the victim drive into the car wash.
The bullet struck the driver’s side window of the victim’s 4-door SUV before striking the victim in the arm.
The victim stated that a Ford Explorer was driving next to her when she was shot. Her statement is backed up by surveillance video. She told investigators she was not involved in a road-rage incident prior to the shooting.
Her gunshot wound to the left arm was not life threating. She was transported by ambulance to the Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in good condition and was talking with investigators while she was en route according to Deputy Thomas Gilliland of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
