KATY/HARRIS COUNTY – Deputies from Constable Ted Heap’s Office recently arrested Levar Knox, an accused murderer, on drug possession charges meaning he has violated his bail conditions and was sent back to jail while he awaits his murder trial. Knox lives at the Kenwood Club at the Park Apartments at 2000 Westborough Drive in Katy/Harris County.
“Knox, 40, was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Harris County Jail,” said a statement from the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office.
Knox is awaiting trial on charges in the shooting death of 25-year-old Ryan White in Alief in September. Knox was arrested and released after posting a bond in December but a new arrest warrant was issued after he violated the conditions of his bond.
Precinct 5 deputies arrested Knox at his Katy apartment on Wednesday, May 22, on an unrelated charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Deputies from Constable Heap’s Major Offenders and Narcotics Division executed a search warrant on his Katy area apartment. Inside the apartment, deputies found heroin and a stolen firearm.
