KATY/FORT BEND COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – A vehicle was stolen from the Kroger store parking lot on FM 1093 near Spring Green Boulevard. The incident happened at about 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle’s owner had just placed his groceries in the car when he was approached by juvenile males who pointed a handgun at him and demanded his vehicle. The victim gave it to them and called 911 from inside of the store.”

The vehicle was equipped with GPS and the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office determined the car was on I-45 near Hobby Airport.

Officers from the Houston Police Department were able to locate the vehicle and after a short pursuit, all suspects were taken into custody.

All three suspects are juveniles.

“It’s unfortunate these kids have already become criminals”, said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “I hope Harris County keeps them locked up so they don’t terrorize anyone else”, Nehls added.
