KATY (Covering Katy News) – The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for the suspect in a burglary of motor vehicle case where the victim was likely followed from a bank to a second location and his/her car was burglarized. It’s a criminal activity called “jugging,” and the burglar did steal money and a checkbook from the victim’s car that was parked at the Memorial Hermann Convenient Care location near the Grand Parkway and FM 1093. The address is 22430 Grand Corner Drive.
Originally, the victim had traveled to his bank at the 6800 block of South Fry in Katy, where he withdrew money. The suspect or suspects followed the victim from the bank to a medical clinic, where they broke into the victim’s vehicle.
A suspect was later documented conducting a fraudulent transaction using the victim’s information at a grocery store in the Montrose neighborhood in Houston.
“Judging seems to mainly target women and elderly citizens, said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “However, it is important for everyone to be aware of their surroundings.”
