KATY/WEST HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – Katy’s Cardiff Junior High School was the backdrop for a homicide investigation Sunday but the crime did not take place on school grounds according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
“Deputies report that three men in a car were involved in a shooting elsewhere before they drove to the parking lot of Cardiff Jr. High, 3900 Dayflower, in Katy and called for help,” said Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. “One man is dead and another is wounded. No suspects in custody at this time.”
People who live near there are asked to check home security video for incidents involving a black sedan. Tips can be reported to Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS or you can call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at (713) 221-6000.
