KATY (Covering Katy News) – Deputies with Constable Ted Heap’s Office have arrested an alleged Katy drug dealer on multiple felony drug charges and a five-month-old baby inside his apartment has been transported to a local hospital over concerns for her well-being. The bust happened in the 21500 block of Park Row Drive.

Shawn Sunstrom, 30, is charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.  His arrest on September 10 came after a month-long investigation by Constable Heap’s Harris County Precinct 5 Narcotics Unit.

Deputies say they confiscated a variety of illegal drugs found inside his apartment: 97 grams of Xanax, 41 doses of LSD, 16 grams of mushrooms, 5 grams of crystal meth, 20 grams of ecstasy pills, 220 grams of marijuana and 8 grams of THC cannabis oil.

When deputies executed the search warrant, they found the suspect’s fiancé and the couple’s five-month-old daughter inside, in a room filled with marijuana smoke.  CPS was notified and EMS was called to the scene to check the infant for drug exposure.

Sunstrom, who has a long criminal history of drug arrests, is being held at the Harris County Jail on $20,000 bond.
