KATY/HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – Car burglars struck Katy’s Castle Rock subdivision on Sunday, June 9 targeting unlocked vehicles that they can enter without making noises that could alert residents. See the video below.

Shortly before midnight, the three suspects can be seen making their way through the neighborhood, testing car doors and entering those that are unlocked. Cars on Brodie Lane, Morgan Knoll, and Wheat Snow were burglarized.

A Ring doorbell camera captured one of the burglaries. In all, at least six cars and truck were robbed according to investigators.

“Constable Ted Heap is asking for your help identifying three suspects who burglarized at least six cars and trucks recently in the Castle Rock neighborhood of Katy,” said a social media post from Precinct 5.

He is wearing a Cowboys hoodie, gray pants, and black sneakers, and is carrying a black and tan backpack. The third suspect is wearing a dark hoodie, light pants, and black and white slides.

“Constable Heap reminds you to keep your cars and trucks locked at all times,” said a statement from Precinct. 5. “Do not leave packages or valuables visible inside your vehicle. Use security cameras and exterior security lighting to help deter burglars too.”
