KATY (Covering Katy News) – Quay Entertainment has signed City of Katy native Hayden Baker to a management contract.
“Following a stellar last few weeks of 2018—which included opening for the iconic Willie Nelson at Smart Financial Centre to an audience of over 5000, and the release of his debut album, Born In The Wrong Generation—the year ahead looks very promising for this triple threat singer, songwriter, and blazing guitar player,” said a press release from Quay Entertainment.
Quay Entertainment, founded by music industry veterans Nancy Davis and Tiffany Davis, bring years of experience not only in the country music arena but across all genres, having worked with many of the world’s biggest artists in a variety of capacities. Their approach to working with a young artist of Hayden’s talent is to put no limitations on his career goals and to consistently look for opportunities that emphasize what makes him stand out from others while providing him the ability to maintain artistic control and ownership of his work.
“We have watched Hayden rapidly evolve as an artist over the past two years, and we knew the time was right to take his career to the next level,” said a joint statement from Nancy Davis and Tiffany Davis, Quay Entertainment. “We are consistently impressed by his work ethic and his natural drive to master anything he attempts. There is absolutely no reason he won’t have a very long and very successful career. We are honored to be by his side on this journey.”

Baker has gone from posting cover songs and “how-to” guitar tutorials on YouTube to opening for some of country music’s biggest stars in the span of just a few short years. In May of 2016, he caught the attention of Brad Paisley, who complimented Hayden’s performance of his song, “Without a Fight,” on Twitter. Then again in 2018, Brad posted a video of Hayden on his own Instagram praising Hayden for his performance of Brad’s song “Bucked Off.” The video received over 50,000 views in the first day. He credits watching Brad at the Houston Rodeo as a defining moment in his desire to become a performer himself.
Hayden’s love for classic country music and the great storytellers of past generations has helped to set the foundation for his songwriting and live performances. In his original music and live shows, you’ll hear everything from tear-jerking ballads reminiscent of the ’90s to up-tempo honky tonk songs, to ripping guitar instrumentals. Though he has only been performing for a short time, he has accomplished more than most could dream of doing in their entire career. In addition to Willie Nelson, he has also opened for the likes of Larry Gatlin, Tracy Lawrence, and Joe Nichols to name a few. For more about Hayden Baker, visit haydenbakermusic.com.
