ST. LOUIS (Covering Katy News) – Conservatory of Theatre Arts student Kendall Swendsen of Katy will be completing an internship during the fall semester at Halsey Onstage in Chicago.
The company is predominately a dance costume shop owned and operated by Travis Halsey. Halsey also builds beautiful pieces for dance companies across the country. He constructed a large portion of Houston Ballet’s The Nutcracker. He also recently co-designed and constructed Act II, an underwater rendition of George Balanchine’s Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Miami City Ballet.
The Conservatory at Webster is a professional training program for acting, musical theatre, directing, theatre studies and dramaturgy, design, technical theatre, and stage management. Located in St. Louis, the Conservatory has been training theatre students for the professional world for more than a half century.
