KATY (Covering Katy News) – Severn Trent reports that all water usage restrictions for Cinco Ranch Residents have been removed.
“We would like to thank those residents who assisted us during this event,” said a statement from Severn Trent.
The Cinco Municipal Utility District 1 water treatment plant was flooded during the rains of Hurricane Harvey. The facility is located off South Mason Road on Cinco Park Road. It is very close to the devastated Creech Elementary School and a short distance north of the flooded Canyon Gate neighborhood.
Severn Trent has asked residents to reduce the amount of water they sent into the sewer system. That request ended at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The damaged plant is one of two sewage treatment plants that service Cinco Ranch. It is the smaller of the two plants. It processes a half million gallons per day, but the Cinco Ranch central treatment facility processes 3.3 million gallons per day.
