Saxum announces six new hires across three offices

 Saxum, an integrated marketing communications agency offering digital, advertising and public relations services, recently hired six new staff members to support its growing clientele. These new employees include Erick Worrell, senior director of business development; Brittany Thomas, account supervisor; Jodi Higbee, technical project manager; Michelle Lory, integrated project manager; and Carly O’Donnell and Marisa Schmidt, both account coordinators. O’Donnell is from Katy.

As account coordinators, O’Donnell and Schmidt are responsible for conducting research, writing and developing campaign materials for clients. Both participated in Saxum’s graduate fellowship program prior to being hired full time. O’Donnell is based out of the agency’s Houston office, while Schmidt is in the Tulsa office.

As director of business development, Worrell is responsible for overseeing the agency’s growth throughout Oklahoma and is based out of the agency’s Oklahoma City office. He is a graduate of Oklahoma City University, a member of LOYAL Class XII and received the American Advertising Federation’s Young Advertising Professional of the Year in 2016.

Thomas serves on the agency’s energy team leading integrated marketing strategies and managing campaigns. Prior to joining Saxum, she served as a change management lead at Chesapeake Energy Corp. where she earned the Prosci Change Management Methodology certification. She is based in Saxum’s Oklahoma City office and is a member of Junior League of Oklahoma City.

Higbee joins Saxum from American Farmers & Ranchers Insurance, where she served as a scrum master. In her new role, she manages the workflow, process, budgets and timelines for Saxum’s digital projects to ensure they stay on time and on budget. Higbee is a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Product Owner. She is also based out of the Oklahoma City office.

Based in the Oklahoma City office, Lory oversees the budgets and timelines of client projects. She joins Saxum from the Oklahoma City Museum of Art where she most recently served as executive project manager. She is a graduate of Oklahoma City University and has completed Disney’s Approach to Quality Service and Employee Engagement.
