KATY (Covering Katy) – The Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office has identified the man they believe is responsible for the armed robbery of a Katy CVS Pharmacy, but the suspect is still at large.

Deputies have identified the suspect as Darrel Glen Kees. A man with the same name has several previous charges out of Fort Bend County, two of which are possession of a dangerous drug and one, recorded in March of this year, is unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Investigators believe that this man walked into the CVS at 3080 South Fry Road around 7:30 p.m. March 6 and stole a bottle of Norco 10/325, which contains the opiate hydrocodone. After walking into the store, he allegedly approached the pharmacy and asked the pharmacy technician for the drug. When asked if he had a prescription, he lifted his shirt and revealed a gun. He took the bottle and left through the front doors of the CVS.

Charges have been filed and a $100,000 bond has been set.

He is known to drive a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado crew-cab truck. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Sgt. Darbe at 281-492-3610.
