KATY (Covering Katy) – Morbid obesity is a medical term describing people who  are about 100 pounds above ideal weight with significant medical problems caused by or made worse by their weight.

Dr. Steven Hotze, M.D., has an office in Katy, and he is a Covering Katy sponsor, and he’s also found a way to help the morbidly obese.

Hotze is the founder and CEO of the Hotze Health & Wellness Center. His goal is to change the way women and men are treated in midlife through the use of bioidentical hormone therapy.

Actress Suzanne Somers dedicated an entire chapter to Dr. Hotze in her New York Times best seller, Breakthrough. “This Texan doctor is going to steal your heart,” writes Somers. “He has so much energy he can’t wait to get to his office each day. He has built up a practice that is the envy of doctors everywhere.”

In the following set of videos, Dr. Hotze introduces us to Jeff Yates,

a type 2 diabetic who wants to take charge of his Health. On Jeff’s first visit he weighed 387 pounds and was also dealing with high blood pressure. Dr Hotze examined Jeff and closely analyzes his blood tests.

Through these videos you will have a front row seat to Yates’ weight loss and return to a strong, healthy lifestyle.
