KATY, TX (January 9, 2017) – Calling all Katy-area dog lovers and their four-legged friends – the Bow Wow Bash and Dog Show is coming to Katy’s Cane Island.
Families are encouraged to bring their Poodles and Pomeranians, Dachsunds and Dalmations, Spaniels and Shih Tzu and all other breeds to Cane Island’s Amenity Village, 2100 Cane Island Parkway, on Saturday, January 21 from noon – 3 p.m. when a collection of dog-related vendors will present services ranging from mini-training lessons to pet photography sessions. Family pets can get microchipped, an implant as painless and quick to administer as a vaccine, and participate in a dog show with an award presented for best dressed.
Plus, families can enjoy the feature film, Hachi – A Dog’s Tale, on Cane Island’s giant screen, live music by Steff Neff and photos with Cane Island’s lovable dog ambassador, Hub.
Open free to the public, the Bow Wow Bash and Dog Show in Cane Island is presented by JLA Realty Katy, Page by Page Graphic Design, No Label Brewery and the Katy Community Chip Clinic.
In the event of inclimate weather, the event will be held under cover and in the Amenity Village’s event center.
Funds raised from vendor booth rentals, $5 mini training sessions, raffle prizes, lunch by Midway Barbecue and the sale of No Label Brewery pint glasses will benefit Special Pals and its mission of providing affordable pet services, rescuing and rehabilitating homeless animals, finding forever homes and providing education on responsible pet ownership. Commemorative t-shirts also are on sale on booster.com with proceeds benefiting Special Pals. Simply enter “Special Pals” in the search to order.
