KATY (Covering Katy) – Courts charging documents reveal more about a murder that happened Thursday night in Katy. According to documents obtained by Covering Katy, Rene Jaime, 52, murdered his wife Mary Jaime, 52, by stabbing her multiple times with a screwdriver and a fire poker.
It happened in the 22400 block of Coriander Drive at Cinnamon Drive which is just south of the Katy Freeway between the Grand Parkway and South Mason Road. (See map below)
The call came in at about 9 p.m. When law enforcement arrived they found the wife’s body inside the house.
“Upon arriving, deputies discovered the victim, 52 year-old white female, deceased from multiple apparent stab wounds,” said a statement from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
“Deputies met with the victim’s husband, 52 year-old Rene Jaime, who stated he and the victim had gotten into an argument and a fight while their two teenage sons, ages 15 and 13, were in another room,” the statement also said.
Jaime’s bond has been set at $50,000. He is tentatively set to appear in court Monday morning at 9 a.m. in the 208th Harris County Criminal Court, 201 Franklin (Floor: 17) Houston, TX 77002.
